We offer these services:
We offer a day-treatment service for patients receiving blood transfusions and Intravenous medication.
Blood transfusions are either two or three units over one or two days. We aim to offer same-week transfusions.
The IV infusions are for either three or five days of steroids. We aim to offer treatment within a fortnight of referral.
IV antibiotics are offered daily as required.
Our nurses run a one-stop anticoagulant management clinic at St Peter's.
A blood test is taken from your finger and tested, giving a result within minutes. You are then dosed and a new appointment is made for your next test.
Each appointment takes around ten minutes. Initial appointments with the clinical lead take 30 minutes.
We aim to see you within a week.
Our service is based at St Peter's Hospital in Maldon and open Monday to Friday, 8.30am-4.30pm.
You can be referred by any healthcare professional, such as your GP or a hospital specialist.
