All services of Provide are required to fulfil their legal duty under Section 11 of the Children Act 2004 and all staff have a duty to safeguard children by recognising abuse and referring onwards as required (Working Together 2015). Similarly, the welfare of adults is paramount and Provide ensures that an adult has a right to feel safe and protected from any situation or practice that results in them being harmed or at risk of harm.
Provide works collaboratively with other services, teams, individuals and agencies in relation to all safeguarding matters and has safeguarding policies that link with local authority policies.
The organisation is compliant with this essential quality standard. (CQC outcome 7 and Care ACT 2014).
We are committed to delivering the best practice which safeguards children, young people and adults, irrespective of their background. Practices which recognise a service user may be abused regardless of their age, gender, religious beliefs, racial origin or ethnic identity, culture, class, disability or sexual orientation.
Having these safeguards in place, we not only protect and promote the welfare of service users at risk but also enhance the confidence and competence of staff, volunteers, parents/carers and the general public.
We are committed to work within agreed policies and procedures, and in partnership with you and other agencies to ensure that the risk of harm to a child, young person or adult is minimised as much as possible.
If you believe, or are concerned, that you or someone else is at risk of abuse, neglect or any other harm, then please discuss this with a staff member as soon as possible.
Likewise if Provide staff believe, or are concerned, that you or someone else is at risk of abuse, neglect or any other harm, they may inform you that have to share information you have given with other agencies.
If there is immediate risk of harm or it is an emergency please call 999.
