Provides assessment & treatment for people with, or at risk of compromised tissue viability, such as Leg Ulcers & non-healing wounds.

About This Service

Eligibility Criteria

Patients registered with a GP in the NHS Mid Essex area.

All referrals regarding children must, in the first instance, be referred to the Community Children’s Nursing Team.

Service details

Our team of specialist nurses provide clinic based services and support Community Nursing staff deliver domicillary visits to patients at home and in Community Hospitals. We also support Practice Nurses in GP Surgeries.

We can assess, diagnose, treat and monitor people with the following problems:

  • Leg or pressure ulcers.
  • Complex or non-healing wounds.
  • A range of therapies for the promotion of wound healing, including topical negative pressure.

1st December 2016 :   Tissue Viability and The Jennifer Neale Lymphedema unit moved from St Peters to Braintree Community Hospital.  The contact details for both services change to the following....

Service operates Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.

Referral process

You must be referred by a healthcare professional, such as your GP.
